Yah know what Mike? I hesitated to ask that question knowing that you had sub'd this thread, lol.

I purchased it before I had finished the design, as it took "forever' to get here from china. But now that I have it.....its pretty cool! It plugs into a USB port for power....hmmm......ideas ideas ideas. I have to have my new case finished before tuesday as my parts should arrive by then. I picked a rotten weekend to do this though. I installed solid surface countertops at a comercial jobsite today, I have to drive down south tommorow to do a spray finish job for another customer, sunday I am building a couple more small solid surface tops and doing the spray finish on still another customer's custom desk cabinets, and then on Monday I need to go install the countertops that I will have made on Sunday.....bad timing to dink around the shop for myself.

I'm getting images from the movie "Time machine" when I see that sparkbowl and clockgears. Love that theme BTW.

WOW considering your work on the old build this one will be amazing as well, the sketches kind of remind me of a church type structure.

lol thats funny.

Maybe I should have moved to michigan instead of Oregon... sounds like you need a hand.

That globe should be a brain age design or a doctor who design.

Doesn't that thing create alot of static electricity?

I dont know, I need to look into that mike. You are probably right though. It is just so neat to look at!

Kimo, my wife and I only had the one weekend. Originally we had planned to take a train to Oslo, then rent a car and just drive for two days but she decided that we should take a cruise from Denmark instead....I would have prefered rail and car myself. I really wish we had gotten out of Oslo though. There is so much to see in Norway. I spent the summer in Germany learning Deutsch at the Goethe Institute in Gottingen. She joined me at the end of summer and we did a 10 day wirlwind tour of Europe. :P

Richard, I saw church also, especially with that window type front panel. I am going to revisit the window idea though. Maybe a compass rose or some such. Solid cherry cut out in scroll work.

Looking very good indeed. You could change the theme to a mad scientist lab and make the window out of acrylic and put the globe behind it. That is as long as it does not generate static.
Oh and by the way I must add
+1 rep

That is an awesome set up you have there man. What are you using the set of gears for? Anything in particular? It would be cool to see them moving when the DVD drives opened up.

+Rep for your "steampunk" creativeness.
