I plug my old 3,5" ata drive into it and make some tests:
- 1920x1080p full hd 21,000kbps bitrate work very very good, cpu usage was 50-60% - 1280x720p hd - cpu usage was 25-30% - 3dmark 2003 - 2052 power cosmuption: idle 39-41W load 64-66W (othos prio 8)

What motherboard are you using? Which PSU block thingy are you using? And what size hard drive? And how much did it cost you to build one of these

Honestly, I LOVE the way it looks but...
Aren't you worried about something falling into the exposed fan or some little kid sticking their fingers in there? I would really put a fan guard on there, even if it was a very minimalistic one.

Interesting. I, personally, would go with the Jetway JNC81-LF (even at about $160), which has a 780G chipset in a mITX form factor. Pair that with the 4850e or 5050e. Granted, it uses SO-DIMM, but it is rated at DDR2 800 and up to 4GB and dual-channel capable - and 2x2GB can be found for about $45. Can run blue-ray with it if you desire and has HDMI port. The 4850e at defalt clocks and HSF -- idle was 25C in my case, and 35C under load with the CPU fan spinning at minimum speed - max rated temp for it is 78C.
Zotec also makes an AMD/NVIDIA board for just over $100 that can handle regular DIMM DDR2 1066 memory, but no HDMI. Very nice modding.
