maybe a late post but to get rid of scratches, use steel wool when your done with your 2200 grit sandpaper on your cpu. steel wool it nice and smooth and dont touch it with your fingers or youll get oils all over ur cpu.

HEEEEEELP!
I just realized that an effing spider just got stuck on my clearcoat! It's stuck on and is not that small... What's the best way to deal with this? Also with car paint / gloss, is it recommended to just spray it on and hope it looks good, or do you still wet sand the clear coat and then do rubbing/polishing compounds? Did that with Krylon on my girlfriend's case and it looks great (see sig). Will put up slightly more glamorous pictures tomorrow. It looks amazing, I am glad to say!

Here are some pictures for you!
The original drip. Sanded the whole panel down to the paint, then strategically re-primed some exposed metal parts. Then gave the whole panel a few more coats of orange paint and clearcoat. It still doesn't look 100% but it's the best we could do.   Painted the inside of the case with the black primer. I'd rather have my random unpainted corners be black than gray.  Finally, here's some pictures of the paintjob!     Then we put the clearcoat on and things really got nice...
