First off, I'd like to give a shout out to Quantum Reality for providing the red motherboard for me to tincker with
as with out it this case really wouldn't have gotten past the octagon phase. With that out of the way, let the modding begin! I'm thinking of making a different mod because the one I did I forgot to make a worklog, so I talked to a mod, and he said I could do this. To start off lets have a 3d model, the pictures explain it all. ![]() ![]() *CASE IS SUBJECT TO DESIGN CHANGE* DAY: March 28th 2009 Alright today, I manned up and cut my aluminum.I think I may have to change the design of the case again a bit but not that much, may have to revert to the 3d design instead of my wanted design. Time will tell in this case. Todays work:

Here's what I have sofar, I'm going back to my original design of having a sorta octagonal stop sign thing that flys, but never really flys.
Todays work: Laying out the parts to make sure it'll all fit: ![]() ![]() ![]() Top and bottom screw together: ![]() ![]() ![]() Just for an idea of the shear size of this beast (that's 2 feet wide!) : ![]() Oh look, it can roll...

Todays work involved going down to pick up three packs of stand offs and putting them into the case, after I drilled the holes and threaded the wholes I proceeded to put the stand offs in. And put the DVD drive in the top of the case.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then I failed at taking a picture...

So for the last 3 days I've been cutting my acrylic and getting my radiators in and such, so here we are. Tomorrow I hope to get the motherboard thing that I'm making, I have no clue what it is called though.
![]() Hmm, perhaps I should have had them flipped over so you could see that I cut the acrylic... ![]() ![]()

Here's some pictures so far: Oh yeah and my room is messy as hell, as soon as I'm done this case I'll show you how clean I made it, and now I'll show you how dirty I made it these last few months. ![]() ![]() ![]() Mmmm dirty room:
