Butcher's Hook - Day 25 - lets build a meathook trolley 03
continued where I left off yesterday. measured out back long hang part  after cutting it (upper left) I had to mark off the hole for the hook in the small L part  piloted with a small bit (not pic'd) then with this bit  then after dulling 2 1/2" bits and a 31/64 bit, I walked over to the hw store (made sure to find out if they were open today when I was there yesterday)  1/2" bit for hard metals. great, just how I like my metal. best 22 bucks Ive ever spent  blasted thru in no time   hole was tight (thats what she.. nvm) needed convincing with a dremel stone  wheee  cut it off  some grind-work     the shop was in rare form, had all tools in action  look at the power strip - it was crying lol (not running all that simultaneously of course)  time to weld the back long bar, used the screw and an anchor to prevent it going out of square  tack 1  tack 2  cattle clamps/contraptions in rare form today. ready to drop dimes   win  thats an impossible weld lol (notice theres no pic next)  clamped the final piece  more classic cattle contraptions  tack 1  flipped her  tack 2  more dimes?   shmexy  sigh, more interior welding (no pic next lol)  used the assembled part as a guide for the final bolt hole thru the back  blam  was feeling proud  proud feeling left quickly. in my attempt to preserve height I cut it a little close. the trolly barely gets on the rail, and firther, the hook has no room to squiggle in. this is solved by more hole grinding, and possibly some hook grinding along the top portion. luckily theres a lot of extra material there to play with.  trolley minus hook, in action   * This Worklog post was generated using WorklogCreator - Version: 1.0.1.6 * Free Download: http://www.mod2software.com/worklogc...logcreator.zip
