I'm sure that you have thougth about this but have you thought about interlacing the star? I think that would look a lot better than just sitting them on top of each other.

Oh wow sir

I've been following this mod but not posting, so let me make up for that

I absolutely love the design - open tech benches do something to me which not many cases can, and your ideas are really beautiful.

The welding is amazing, and the structure looks superb.

I have one request/suggestion, although you may have already thought about this. In your first post, it says the plan is to chrome it...I like it as it is now. I mean, chrome is all nice and shiny and stuff (and I do like it) but in the right scenario. Slipknot aren't exactly the cleanest band (music or image-wise) and I'm quite a fan of the current look of the structure. I would like to see it left as currently is, with all blemishes and imperfections to see, for an industrial theme

I was due to see Slipknot last year, but that cancelled the week before

Anyway, keep up the modding man Can't wait to see what you come up with next, and that welder is one hell of a handy thing

Thanks mate . Pretty much, a few more work days should do it. There's still a handful of things to do, but you know how it goes - each thing becomes its own time consuming mini project. Ill crack it out as fast as I can tho

Thanks Pross Yeah I know what youre saying about the "rough, industrial" look, and I want to do a case like that, but this one will be chromed. The good news is, you will see it fully assembled and functional before chrome (and minus the lighting) since the chromer said it was ok to drill and tap everything beforehand. Thanks for your comments mate

Ok

What I didn't mention in my last post is that I think chrome is going to look just as good as the industrial style

I agree to a point. Wouldn't be for leaving it totaly 'industrial' but maybe a compromise. Brushed steel look for the frame, polished for some of the accents, and chrome the hook and star would be my interpretation.

But then again i'm still not sure where this is all going, except in the right direction! CR has a vision and thats the way to go.

And with the angle supports what about cutting some small plate triangles and 'filling' in the open space if you wanted to have smooth finish with no visible open joints. Other option, but maybe a bit late for these supports, is use a flat bar on its side or single plate triangle so all joints are easily accessible.
