I like the idea with the star in the front. Maybe place a huge fan on it blowing towards the motherboard. Which would mean bringing down that board a bit. Or perhaps just enough to blow over the video cards at least.

Yeah, I too could see the star acting as a fan guard of sorts. It would be really cool if it was mounted to a tube with some white laser lights shining out of it.
