Butcher's Hook (Slipknot tribute bench in steel)
Butcher's Hook - by CattleRustler - Spring 2009
(Slipknot Tribute bench in steel)(quick links / TOC in second post) Here's some of the concept shots   this "bench/case/thing" that I call Butcher's Hook will be constructed out of 1" square steel tube (1/8" thickness), with a 3/8" thick trolley rail. The trolly itself will be purchased for a few bucks from a meathook supplier I found. I havent decided on the Hook itself, still searching for that perfect one. The sheet that hangs from the main hook will be a steel sheet with that eyelet fabricated to it. It will have its own set of standoffs, to hold a mobo tray, then the standard mobo and its standoffs will bolt onto that The frame will be joined at 45 degree corners and welded. The nine pointed star will be constructed of 3/16" steel rod. each piece is 9 inches long, and 9 bars make up the the 9 pointed star  The pieces will be welded together. Everything in these pics, once fully fabricated etc will be chrome plated (thats the plan anyway). accent lighting will be red, and other accent materials like case feet and such will be black/red. I am liking the black anodized alu feet from MNPCTech.com for this one, and an EVGA Classified board would sure go nice too (we can dream, cant we?) Need more tools so my cash for this project is basically going into tools and the materials.
