This is insane.

You should have enetered it in the OCN Casemod competition if you didn't make this thread you would have had a good chance I think.

I'm keeping my eye on this.

Going to sub this as well. My first subbing for a case mod. It's looking REAL good.

A good option for coating them might be Liquid Electrical Tape which also can serve you in many different handy ways.

Sweet! Comes in other colors but black! I had thought of doing a ladybug theme for my little girl's computer.

Looks very good, you don't see allot of these extensive designs in sheet metal mods. The shapes are very neat, you sure do have some skills. Looking forward to the rest, keep up the good work.

2. The user is less active, and/or has other/better things to do.
3. The user does not spam, but makes meaningful and helpful posts/threads.
Therefore this has nothing to do with a users; experience, knowledge or skill. So don't judge him/her by it.

@ Gwias, lol ty, I dont think I could even if I wanted to , making by hands really takes alot out of me, most nights my hands are crippled, you know cant even hold a cup of coffee without feeling some kind of pain, but I'm trying to keep the updates coming as fast as I possibly can.

@ richardshewfelt, I hope so too

@ SporkofdooM, tyvm

@ Bloofire, and MOAR!!!! you shall see

@ caraboose, I tend to think my mods aren't as good as the ones I see, due to me using hand tools.

@ Krusher33, tyvm and I hope you enjoy the progress

@ Shiryu_Libra, you'll be waiting a while then lol, other than the front panel the side panels play a massive role in the overall design of the case and I'm not quite happy with what I have, so I'll keep reworking the design till I feel its ready for public criticism. Hopefully you wont have to wait too long.

@ Indignity, I'll stick with garden hose, its cheaper and does the trick.

@ Aeogenia, tyvm , I like to design more than I like to mod, but who would just come and look at a design lol.

Back from Easter break(Happy belated Easter), and so on with the update.

Have been busy with the rear panel, cutting and filing...

Completed, took a lot longer than the first one as my nibbler is on its way out and no matter how many times I lube it up, it still keeps getting weaker and weaker, much like my hands and arms.

Also began work on the acrylic I'm going to be using, for the front and rear and fan grill and dvd doovey thingy.

Used my trusty dremel and then hand filed it all down, once I'm completely happy with it, I'll flame polish all the acrylic and give it a nice polish to remove any unwanted scratches.

I'm using the acrylic to dress the fan grill up a tad, so I marked my lines, then selected the bits to be cut out, as you can see not everything is being cut out, just whatever is in the 2 x 120mm radius.

As seen here...

Add the aluminium fan grill and then it all begins to make sense. Note the alu is in raw form, only having removed the grid paper from it, still needs a few sands and a polish.

Both front and rear panels completed, I removed the edges away as they were beginning to fray, leaving the main bit so I can work on the frame for the case.

Put what I have done so far together , make sure it looks ok and nothing is out of place or done wrong, and it appears to be ok.

I'm in the process of doing the dvd bit, that I shall post tomorrow.

Random photo of the day.

Much more work to do, and more updates to follow

Seth
