So for this mod I will be bringing the dead back to life. I'll be starting with the generic white case and turning it into something amazing ( hopefully) .

Default Update 2 : Paint Prep

Ok this is the start of update number 2 , im preping all the casing for paint, ill be cleaning the metal with brillo pads and then sanding the case down with some 1000 grit for a smooth almost polished look so the paint will look awesome on the case

Alrighty so this is the case full rivet free

I am now just deciding if I am going to keep the HDD rack or lose it and get alot better airflow intake and possibly a custom dual 80mm pvc pipe intake ...mmmmm sounds good so far ( draws sketches before i forget) , ok well i had sometime to kill because i realized i ran out of sandpaper and i will need to go grab some tomorrow. So what i did is some cable sleeving yay!!

I did a 24 pin psu adapter that way I wouldnt have to sleeve the whole psu cable which would have cost more money and taken longer.

Done with that....oh wait i have more sleeving and oh lookie here more cables to sleeve so i went crazy with the front panel power buttons cables

and btw the front button is pacman eating pellets...hahah WIN!

Default Update 3

Ok , well those front panel sleevings i did in the last update where now a waste as I have decided to try Bondo for the first time, i ended up covering the majority of the faceplate with plans of cutting some dual 80mm fan holes for intake and making my own usb port.

I cleaned up the rest of the casing starting with the motherboard tray, then the front panel and then the rest of the case, you can really see a difference just from one round of sanding , it makes a big difference .

Before:After:
Looks better and has a more brushed aluminum look

And now the climax of this update!, my first ever attempt at using bondo, i watched a few vids on youtube and read a few guides which truly helped me out, i think it looks decent for my first attempt

and now to sand it down ....

and finally the paint!!!

I picked up some primer and 1 can of paint for the interior and one exterior color can.....The interior will be black and the exterior metalspeck red, hopefully it comes out as great as i am expecting it to ....

I Sanded the drive bays down and am now getting them ready to be primed.

I applied to coats of grey primer, and now we wait for it to dry....

Nice, first coat of paint went on pretty well , I am quite impressed by how the paint came out..

This is what it looked like after one nice coat with no gloss added... MmmMMM

Default Oh Crap!!

So I'm gonna clean the northbridge and mosfet and get them ready for some homemade bolt thru kits for them instead of push pins.

I accidently forgot to place a space between the northbridge heatsink screws to protect the motherboard and i ended up killing the motherboard.... , now i have to go buy a new motherboard there goes part of my budget.

Alright now I primed the interior parts and am getting them ready for paint. I also decided to not keep the hard drive rack in the case and just use the 5.25 bays
since there is only going to be one hard drive and it will allow for more airflow without the harddrive rack in place.

Now For Some Paint !!!!

...and after one coat

Front

5.25 bays

Yet again my Duplicolor black paint impresses me.

I Was waiting patiently for my newegg package to arrive to get the motherboard so i could test it and have the pc up and install windows on it.
So while I waited I Riveted the case together and placed the PSU in to give me an idea of how it will look...

Turned out pretty good IMO.

Oh and I even took a picture of the top side of the case to show you guys how the paint job is looking..

Man this flat gloss is amazing its like its shiny but at the same time it's not to shiny... PERFECT!

Now I'm really bored when is this package coming???

Back to the mod mode again... Oh! I need some intake!

Ok I decided I need some kind of intake So I Cut Out a fan hole with my dremel for a 80mm fan,
this seems ok but I think i need more intake...
Oh a Front vent it is ! , next I cut out the slot for the vent and here's how it looks....

I found my old xbox 360 chassis in my garage and discovered it had a nice mesh that i could reuse so to save money of course I used it

and after some dremel work and a coat of black paint to go along with the case I have this ....

Hmm I wonder where my package is ? Hmmmmm ...I'll Just have to start another mod....

Oh! Stealth the disc drive time

I used some 3M Doublesided tape the same as used in the MNPCtech acrylic window tutorial ,
It Works great and doesn't leave any marks behind its some what like the blue painter's tape to double sided tape.

and the test fit ..

Perfect !!

Ok Now I started sanding the faceplate down and after I did that i cleaned it up and did a test fit for the new intake system for the case.

Fan Looks good so far.

Oh Lawd!!! Finally The Motherboard I ordered is here..

It's not the best color scheme to go with my theme , but I figure if it works I'm happy.

I immediately placed the cpu and memory in it and setup all the compnents in the case and fired it up and started installing windows.

Alright So I finally picked up some fans for the rear exhaust. I got them fairly cheap also. I picked up a 4 pack of 80mm fans , some fan grills and even a rounded red IDE cable yay and only spent $10 bucks including tax .. man i love employee discounts.

I got to work first on the fans taking them apart and getting them ready to be painted .

Ready to be painted...

After one coat of paint, looks amazing I think I'm done...

Started working on the side panel, so here are the pics

First Cuts..

20 minutes later....

Done , now I just need to file the edges down ..

I decided to make a cover for the cables to hide the cables coming from the PSU so I use a sheet of aluminum sanded it down and painted one side and put some double sided tape on the other and adhered it to the PSU and the drive bays ... for something so simple it makes the interior look nicer IMO
