Ok, this is a continuation of a thread in the WC section, which I felt would cover too broad a range to keep in the WC section.
After leaving my system, which I named "Hate Symptoms" after a friends band; I decided to mix it up a little. I'll be installing a liquid cooling loop for just the CPU at this time, as well as some cable management mods and random mods to facilitate the liquid cooling system. I also might add a window and painting the case. My theme for this case is a machined/industrial look with the primary colors being red and silver. I'll prob start a work log soon for the case, but this will be the thread for my WC setup. This is just my second WC setup, but I learned a lot from the first time. I did't have a fill or a drain port before, which I'm correcting this time. Last time it was pretty hack, this time I'll try to make it look nice as well as work well. I've done few case mods before, but was just too lazy to post a work log lol. I bought most of the parts localy, which was actually really tough. My local Microcenter had 1 roll of 1/2" hose, the rest being 3/8", but nearly ALL their fittings were 1/2. So after going back and forth between the 1/2" system I wanted (but they didn't have the hose in the color I wanted), and 3/8" system (with the UV red hose I wanted), the sales guy dug up the hose I wanted. The WC setup parts: Apogee GT Mazda heater core Kaze Maru 140mm 104.54cfm fan Eheim 1250 pump (1200l/h) PrimoChill 1/2" UV red tubing DD fill and drain ports dual UV CC lights Crappy pics: I like this pump because I can continue to run the liquid cooling system after the computer is turned off, as a lot of damge can be done by heat-soak(heat soak is caused by turning off the cooling system to something that produces heat before the heat is removed; it happens a lot to cars engines, and applies to CPUs as well). What it looks like('cept the fan controler is gone): As you can see, some cable manegement is needed: I'll be installing the loop today or tomorrow. I have a lot of other work to do on the case, so it might be a little while before it's finished. It tends to take time for ideas to come to me, and my budjet is low, but I'll try to make it as interesting as possible.

Here's a compilation of what I accomplished with the heater core. I took looooots of pics for you guys
:I just finished moding the heater core. I cut the tubes down with the dremmel. I used my small butane torch to solder the threaded tubes on. After that all that's left is to put the barbs on. It doesn't look great, but it should work just fine. Before modification: After meeting Mr. Dremel ![]() Then I soldered the threaded fittings on(keep the comments about how crappy it looks to yourself, I know): The next step was to mount the fan. I used cable ties, rubber washers, and fender washers to attach it. pretty straight forward, although I've discovered that it cools more efficiantly with the fan pulling instead of pushing.

wow i had that same TT case. it was the worse piece of sht in the world. the fans's specs were a joke, the corners on the outside and inside of that thing gave scars, the cable management inside is impossible. the thing weighed about 100-120lbs when full and the lock on the door broke, leaving me incapable of powering off/on my PC w/o calling a locksmith to open the metal lock. TT makes ****

I understand what you're saying. Mine has worked out well so far, but I tend to be more forgiving that a lot of people. lol. Yeah, the corners are all like razors. TT didn't bother to sand anything smooth. The fans are also, like you said, s**t. the side panel is designed so poorly that I just leave it off. Putting it on will cause my GPUs to overheat if I try to game or fold. The lock on mine has worked perfectly so far. We'll see if that continues. Mine is the aluminum version, so it's not TOO heavy, but it sure as hell isn't a lightweight. You deffinatly owned one, you described a lot of the problems with this case. I paid $45(USD) for my case BNIB (hellofa good deal), and so far it's given me my $45 worth. That being said, the reason I don't mind cutting it up to expieriment is 'cause I'll be replacing it soon. ![]() Continuing on with the pic-a-thon, here's the next couple steps: Waterblock installed, pretty straight forward: I found a place for the huge Eheim 1250 pump, perfect fit!: Fill and Drain ports installed: Tubing hooked up to the fill port and "out" side of the CPU block: Testing for leaks. I had 2 leaks, one due to the solder not holding up on the rad, and another due to a nicked oring on the pump, both fixed now: Graphics cards installed: Aaand some random pics: One of the tubes on the blacklight I bought turned out to be defective, so I have to take it back. As soon as I get the new one I'll install it and take some more pics. I'll also be doing something with the sides of the case. I'm thinking it will involve some colored plexi and laser engraving. Stay tuned.
