Great case btw, love the case and I will be using mine for a spare system and HTPC for my 42" Sharp! I will continue to monitor this thread!! Good luck and I like your idea's so far.
Thanks for the kinds words PhelanJKell

Yes the mod at bit-tech was a huge factor in me choosing this case. Putting an ATX board into this case will take some modding to the back panel of the case. It can be achieved if I follow the measure twice cut once rule

It really depends I guess on what motherboard you 'really' want to use. The DFI Jr series are very nice, so if one of those will suit your needs then I would go with one of those. Just for simplicity reasons of course, but if you 'WANT' a ATX then mod the back panel!

Either way you go I am watching this thread. I will be using my Rogue for a HTPC, using my DFI Jr, 8gb Gskill, E6850 etc.. I did water cool the case awhile back, though I had the 360 rad mounted to the rear. You can mount a 120 on the rear fan exhaust area, or even do it on the outside for a little extra cooling without taking up much room. But if your goal is to keep everything internal then you got a great plan.

You going dual gpu's? You consider watercooling those? The only issue I ran into when watercooling my 4870 was I had the tubing coming over the card horizontally, right under the PSU, so when I tightened the PSU down it would pinch the tubing a little, nothing huge but enough to bother me. So when I redid the loop I put the gpu block with the barbs facing the rear of the card and just ran the tubing around it.

You could drop the res to save some room for tubing. Don't mind these ideas I'm just throwing these toward your direction. You have the case already in hand? I bought this case just for the reason of having a very powerful setup in a very small case, I'll keep looking at your thread and seeing what you do with this!

Edit: checked out your other build logs, amazing work there bud. I also loved your monitor modding!

Thanks bud . Comments like yours make the entire process worthwhile

I am glad you like my other modding endeavors as well

I plan on only watercooling the CPU. The NB/SB and both GPU's will be air cooled. There is just not enough space for two internal loops in the case

The plan on putting an ATX board into the rogue is an intentional one, I am trying to test the limits of my modding skills. Yes I have the case already in hand(I've had it for about 6 months already) ..I found a killer deal on ebay and just couldnt pass it up. I will be happy to listen to any advice/ideas that you may give during the process of this mod. It'll only help me foresee any problems I may face

This process has been taking a little longer because I am getting the acrylic laser cut. So all the acrylic for my next project has to be cut now, the laser cutting shop charges by the hour ($140/hr) and they will charge me for an hour minimum, So I'm gonna get all the acrylic I can in that time . I am also not too good with my CAD Skills, I am more of a paper and pencil kind of guy. Getting the CAD drawings done properly has been an uphill battle...

Regards,
-wasted

Nice Plans Wasted. Looking forward to this one.
Sorry for you. I got one during that sale and it's been great ever since. I'm actually removing one of the side drive cages to put a 140x2 rad in it because 120x2 won't line up with the fan screws.

to wastedtime: Where did you get all those models for your renderings? I've never been able to find any decent computer internals. (3ds format would be preferable)

Hey ZHoob2004, I found all the sketchup renders on this website. They have a decent collection of components.

I am not sure about 3ds renderers. Maybe you could convert sketchup to 3ds ?

Hey bud,
I am sorry about the lack of updates . My other project is taking most of my time. 11 hour workdays 6 days a week isnt helping either . There will be updates to this one as soon as I can get the other project completed
