Default HP Case Mod

First of all, excuse the crappy quality pics, I had to take them with my phone.

Alrighty, so I have this HP case I really like. I was Planning on getting a Rocketfish or a really snazzy Lian-Li or Silverstone, but decided I REALLY liked the HP case, and thought I'd have some fun with it. The case needed a bit of work. The airflow wasn't very good (not horrible, but not good), the cable management was a nightmare, and I really wanted to give it a bit more...zazz. So, I came up with a few ideas to give it my personal touch.

I was planning on making a full work log, but I got too caught up in the action and forgot to take pictures haha. I do have pics of the semi-final and final product though.

I'd also like to say the build quality of this case is phenomenal. After dealing with many cheap cases, I was very impressed with this one. They use some serious heavy-duty steel. I broke 5 reinforced dremel cutting wheels trying to cut through it.

Anywho...

First off, I cut some cable management holes because this thing was a nightmare to route cables in. I also plasti-dipped the case because I heard so many good things about it here. I agree, it is pretty sweet. Dampened my vibrations big-time.

My system waiting for the case to be finished:

almost finished...

A few shots of the interior (higher cfm fan added to hsf )

the back, completed:

shots of finished product without side panel:

and with my custom tinted acrylic side panel, 100% done!

Let me know what you think! All input is appreciated!

Wow I just realized how much crap I have on my desk. It took a picture for me to notice.

Edit: couple more pics in the dark for effect. The blue really looks awesome in person.

EDIT: just a thought: maybe you could change the power/reset buttons on the front for some custom ones? that always looks cool imo

Zazz?

Anyway, looks great! All black is by far my favorite, and you have done it well. What brand fan is that on the door? Speaking of which, what's the door made out of?

It is a rexus 250mm, and the door is made out of tinted plexiglass

Thanks everybody! I'll be taking all your input and hopefully improving the case even more!

Buyah!

Blue-tape PCI bracket retention is ghetto-fabulous!

Awesome job on the mod, the custom window really does the case justice. Well done.
