Default UPDATE, but a Problem

So i sprayed some parts black today but it appears i did something wrong. One the pieces there parts of it where if i rub it, the paint just comes off like a powder. I don't know if its because of the breeze i was painting in or not enough primer. I noticed though when i put the primer down in some places it didn't seem enough then when i went to put the black on where there was enough primer it look good but where there wasn't really enough the problem about the powder is there. Im honestly not sure. i have 2 months though to figure this out.

Default Update - the resolution

So do to this dilemma that i never thought id get into. I finally realized that's i never should have done spray painting. For some reason it didn't come out right. when i spray paint other things it goes fine but this it didn't work out. So im going to get it professionally powder coated at this place 1 hour away from me.

So for now this project has been delayed for about a month. There will be no more updates till the day i go to take the case parts to the powder coating place

Thanks for watching guys and all the support

thanks noahmateen and Cattlerustler for telling me everything i needed to know but it seems i just didn't listen or didn't ask enough questions.

did you shake the paint can for 2 minutes prior to spraying?

id try a different can of paint, shaken, not stirred , and not painting in a breeze

yeah i shook it and put it in a bucket of hot water like guides have said. Apparently there's not enough primer or something which sucks because i haven o more primer left and yeah. I'm going to powder coating by a professional i think.

yikes, sorry to hear, do u think it was mainly the lack of primer, or was it that more sanding needed to be done?

I think you could easily fix this paintjob with paint(or maybe find someone on our forums that lives near you to help you out) and save yourself a bunch of money.

Powder coating is cheaper i just found out. i spent 100 on the paint powder coating is cheaper then that up front and i only have to drive 30 minutes to get the case to the powdercoater.

Good think i only spray 3 pieces
