Default Update time

So its been a long time since I've done anything with the case and i have contacted my local powder coater and I'm going to get it done for $100 bucks. There are 2 parts that cannot be coated though and they are they top and bottom parts of the case. I will be coating those with paint myself which i have started. I also have received my rivets from mcmaster-car to put this thing back together.

Pictures here show the two parts that im coating myself they already have a layer of paint which came out really good but to make it smoother i wet sanding them so i have to paint again. I will be doing that today so i hope it'll come out well.

more pictures are coming tonight of the final coating. i figured out the problem i had before with like the weird fuzzy texture that rubbed off like power was because i should have sanding the primer coat and sprayed heavier with the black.

And now with painting heavier with the black its sticks and it looks really good and i don't get orange peal surprisingly

Talking Update

So i havent even looked at this thread for a long long time and just remembered i had it. Do to a huge problem i had with my spray paint with the rustoleum stuff i decided to order some Duplicolor enemal, sandable black duplicolor primer, and a crystal clear duplicolor primer. I got 4 cans of everything. and so far i have sanded all my case parts to almost bar metal there are a couple patches that have the old rustoleum primer. Today ill be finished the priming. i have 2 parts that are completely primed already. I have about 6 parts left of the case to do. i absolutely love duplicolor paint now. the nozzle is amazing and it comes out so nice. its such good paint!

Pictures will be coming at some point this week.
