2nd Update : Sunday August 9th, 2009
Well fellas I finally got some time to pick up some more new tools yesterday! I have all the necessary tools to get the work done but with it being my first Lian Li mod, I feel that it deserved some new stuff. Here's the second set of new tools to add to my huge amount of them already :![]() ![]() Now that I have all the necessary new, and old, tools to get this job underway, I have a little teaser for you all. ![]() My garage, or more like a VERY well put together PC modding shop, is about half done so I must do all my modding in the house. Well my wifey doesn't mind my hobby and in fact gives me her input on certain things but she doesn't like having PC parts all over the kitchen and dining room tables, so I am taking my hardware to the basement! ![]() (Looks like something out of a Rob Zombie movie eh? )I will be turning my unfinished basement into my mod shop until my garage is done. I would work out of my office but it is already quite cramped. This is the area which will get a quick makeover : ![]() It is not near as dirty and dingy as the camera makes it and it should make for a nice makeshift shop for now. Hopefully tonight I can get my tools, bench and Lian Li down there and get to doing some actual work! ![]() Thanks for tuning in. I will update again as soon as possible!

3rd Update : Monday August 10th, 2009
Well I didn't have tons of time to work tonight as most of last night was getting my temporary shop setup and most of tonight was spending time with family. I managed to sneak away with some good 'ol MGD and get some pictures and some work done though. ![]() As I said before my shop is only about half done out in the garage so I had to make due here in the basement. Here are some of the completed shots of the makeshift shop down in the basement : ![]() ![]() (A nice 'tight' little setup eh?) I decided tonight to cut out the motherboard tray. Some of these shots are my trick to getting nice straight lines whether you use a dremel or a rotozip : ![]() ![]() ![]() My father-in-law works at a local Alcoa plant so I have him pick me up 16-18ga x 1-3inch wide bar stock. I cut it down to the length of my cut and just follow the edge. Simple really and your cuts come out great every time! (even after some of said MGD )And some final rough shots : ![]() ![]() Tomorrow I plan on taking the dremel's grind wheel and a file to the motherboard tray cutout to make 'er nice and smooth. Hopefully I can get more done tomorrow night! Enjoy.
