Also, I love your progress!
I'm a sucker for wood, and you look like you're gonna completely nail this one. Subscribed.

Nice name too so hard to pick one.
I guess since I am making a bunch hopefully will use all these suggestion thanks everyone!Updated sketches of the unit: ![]() ![]() Some progress today we ran outta large enough sheets of oak I have to wait until I get paid to get more. This is the semi finished lower level floor made out of 1/2 inch cabinet grade oak: ![]() ![]() The very bottom level will be made out of 1/4 inch oak and be same dimensions as this piece. Starting to made the frame for around the optical drives. This will be the lowest level with the 1/2 inch oak floor above this. This level will only house the 2 optical drives. I decided to make room for 2 drives since some have more then one optical drive. So really there will be 3 levels to this case. The optical drive level, the PSU, HDDs, etc level, and the top level which will have the motherboard mounted. ![]() Now the dividers for the optical drives are finished. I left a slight 1/16 inch gap for neoprene I will be placing under the drives. The dividers will be placed so when you slide the drive in it is firm and also stops when it is up against the front panel. The front cover piece will be out of 1/4 inch oak. This way it will cover up any wood ends showing give it nice 1 piece look. ![]() Here is the almost complete assembly for the 2 levels:
