For painting this case, I used Gloss Engine Block paint, as it is normally pretty hard to scratch, and will put up with a TONS of heat. All blue was a combo of Modelmaster paints, light Grey Primer, GTS Blue Metallic, and Lacquer Clearcoat "for that wet look" as stated on the can. http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...o/DSC_0053.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...o/DSC_0054.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...o/DSC_0055.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...o/DSC_0068.jpg Quote:
Those links were the paint, I made them links instead of pics, I didnt figure everyone would be THAT interested in the paints, I stand correcdted. Also, what do you mean by Razerblade FTW, maybe im out of touch and im missing some cool-guy slang, but I didnt use a razerblade for anything.

I know what FTW means
No need, they were still fully taped at that point, I got the pic just before I removed the tape.Marcam, thanks for jacking my memory HAHA. My hand is a lot better now, little sore, bit of a scar but no biggie atm. I will probably Vantage it just for the heck of it sometime, but I am not an avid bench marker, just never been my thing. If I can do all my compiling or rendering while alt-tabbing in and out of game, like my current system did when I built it, im happy. I don't care if im faster than you or Fallout or whomever But I will probably bench it for the heck of it.Funny, I have had ALOT of comments about the engine block paint. I guess it pays to have grown up in a garage, I have a different perspective on things sometimes.

Hey, how did you get the bubbled paint off the drive bay locks to repaint them? Is there any tricks or just alot of pain staking sanding

If the bubbling is severe, use a low grit out paper to bring the big chunks of paint into small rough patches. BE CAREFULL, you can strip it right back to primer/base material if you are not carefull. Then, you use Ultra fine sand paper and buff until it is smooth, then take a clean rag with a dab of water and wash it off, and dry it, otherwise your paint will have a chance at sticking to the dust and it peels off like a sticker. Repaint in the morning when it is cool, and you are usually good to go. Are you having paint issues you are needing a hand with? THANKS! If you are gonna do something, do it right, and do it ALL the way!
