Oh man, just stumbled upon this. So subbed. That paint job is coming out amazing. That's an excellent shade of blue. I'm sorry if you already mentioned it, but what exactly is it?

Thanks for the props on paint
![]() It is GTS Blue Pearl. It is in the links im my first page at the very top, I have the primer, paint, clearcoat listed there, and I believe a little later in it, a pic from the black i used. I have gotten alot of LOLs form it, but always followed with WOW Good idea. I wanted a sturdy paint (because I am graceless and will likely scratch it) and something that wouldnt be bothered by heat, a mishap with coolant, or be hard on the wallet. I went with Engine Block Paint from the local Pep Boys. The other paints were all gotten from Ultimate Hobbies in Orange, Ca. But can be gotten from their website.

Good morning all, here is my new wave of pics. Just some updates I kept meaning to do and never got around too. I swear I need about 8 more hours in a day, and maybe 2 more days a week anymore.
HAHA, in downloading my camera I found in the middle of my build pics, my GF got pictures of her cat sleeping, was about to do one big photobucket upload, dont think the cat is relevant to the system build ![]() First off, I am not sure why with the EXACT same primer/paint/clearcoat regement why the those little drive bay clamps(?) dont shine like the other blue parts, but here they are. ![]() Unfortunately getting them in I scratched up the case a little, I will have to go over it with a brush for touch up later. ![]() ![]() The real pisser is I managed to crack one of the bay things when remounting it. ![]() ![]() BUT, unless you are looking for it, you really cant see it, but I still know I damaged it before getting it online. ![]()

OK, and now to the test bed, which was going well until that friggin PSU took a dump on me....
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So far the testing went really well, 16 hours of memtest86 without a single error. I can see some of the horse power in the system from the limitted testing I did, I know how long it took my friends quad to install Windows 7 with a MUCH faster HDD, I beat the install time by ALOT with a old slow POS HDD. And the little vid card there is an old 9600GT, nuttin fancy, but it gets the job done for testing purposes.

I had recieved some PMs about my res, and WHY I like the design, here are some pics, if you follow the water flow, and look closely, it was purpose built to help seperate air out of the system.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The divider in it will help water bead from the inbound, and be pushed out of the direct water flow path, and also the outbound is capped and only pull water through the bottom, and the fill port will go into the top of the divider as to not splash into the direct water flow and cause more air bubbles, all around an excellent design, fits in a bay, and with some angled parts uses the stock fill port in my HAF.

Here are the pics for the limitted assembly I have done so far. I am NOT putting it all together until after I have gotten it fully tested. Everytime I have done a full assembly and shut the case without full testing, I end up needing to take it apart again for whatever reason.
YAY the rad is mounted, although I did have to mont it backwards from my initial plan, but OH WELL. ![]() ![]() ![]() If I didnt mount it backwards, I would not have enough bay spaces. I have my fan controller, then the normal panel I will cut up to put in the switches for the lights. Thinking CCFL Black Lights . The the reservior, if the rad was mounted the other way the hose barbs would use up another bay :/ then my BluRay player, then my burner, and my Startech Hotswap rack, which with all the data movement I do, I have come to rely on.![]() ![]() ![]()

Well, im back for another update.
I ran a 24 hour burn on Memtest86+ followed by 20 passes on LinX maxed ram. That took about all day, but it got through it all. Now comes the task of final assembly. I might HAVE to go with the new waterblocks from Swiftech, not that im complaining, but wow, no friggin space lol. ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, due to the boards mass, I will not be able to use all of the nice cable management slots, like the one above the motherboard. It has nothing to do with the rad, the mobo sits too high, so I will have to run CPU power and board main power in front ![]() Now that is some friggin WIDTH! ![]() This pis, I tried and tried to get right, but due to the location, I just couldn't. Here is the pic that shows clearance between board and rad. That in and of itself is not a huge deal. But the gap, which is the wood brown streak in the middle of the pic, is all the gap I get from the cable management slot. So I ran a couple extensions, as there is no way to mount them with the board installed. Eitherway, it has performed well in its first test and I am eager to move forward. ![]() I think at this point I will need to go with http://www.swiftnets.com/products/APOGEE-XT.asp Not that im complaining, BUT, I didnt want to spend extra atm.

Well, after TONS of trying to get cabling done, it just ain't gonna happen around these giant coolers, and I am WAY outta space. So, I have other builds I will be doing for others that can use those fans, and ordered water blocks for the CPU's.
I spoke with Gabe at Swiftech (head honcho there) and he said on a non overclocked system there would be very little difference between the XT and the GTZ, I would see it under load when OC'd, otherwise, 2-5c. But socket 1207 clamps wont be available for at least another month for the XT but they are readily available for the GTZ. I ordered the GTZ. Once those are here, the system gets powered down, Blocks are installed, and I start tubing everything. Then finish up the install. It will run from there off of the W7 beta and that old HDD until I get my 15k drives in with the full OS.
