i've been wanting to custom build a case for some time and i've always wanted to go water, so why not do them both.
here are my plans for the case i am going to make. i will use aluminum and maybe some acrylic. tell me what you think so far and offer any suggestions ![]() ![]() ![]()

I see two main issues.
1. Structural stability. How do you plan to attach the aluminium panels together? How are you going to make it stable? what you ideally want is it to be stable without both side panels on. I would suggest a fake floor above the PSU which you can then anchor down. 2. Fans. You have 6 fans on your radiator and then 2 on the back. If you think about this, you are either going to be sucking more air out that those rear fans can provide, or are going to be pushing more air than those rear fans can exhaust. If your airflow is designed well, low internal pressure (more exhaust than intake) is good, since you can use it to carefully guide your airflow over key components. However in this case, if you had low internal pressure, i see your hard drive, expansion slots such as gpus and soundcards and the southbridge getting suffocated. Maybe this picture will help: ![]() However if the front fans are intakes, you are effectively going to be blasting air in to every corner of the case. You will most likely get leakage through any gaps/holes in the case with this method, but in your case it is going to work ok, since air will get all around the case. I can't remember which situation it is, but one is better for not having dust inside your case and the other is worse. I beleive the low internal pressure is worst since the dust can settle. This can be solved pretty much by using filters.

Positive air (more air in then out) is better cooling (so they say) but more dust gets in. Negative air (more air out then in) keeps your case cleaner. In cooling factor i seen a test and overall the temp in the case only changed by 1 degree so if you have to pick one choose a Negative air pressure case. my
would be move the rad to the top and have it removing air as well as cooling the case replace the 2 80mm? fans with a 120mm or 140mm fan and you can have one or two front fans. If you did it that way you would have 4 fans removing air and 2 fans adding air and you would have a nice Negative air pressure case. with the pump/res you could put it on a shelf beside the RAM or lower to keep it looking cool and that way tubes would not be going all over the place but like i said thats just my hope i helped a little bit also subed as this looks like it will be awesome

i would bring the dvd drive up about a bit i tried the at the bottom thing and it kinda sucked lol
also the rear panel proportions seem to be off you should be able to fit some 120mm fans back there no prob

![]() That is the back of my pc, you can see the width is actually about the same and those are 80mm fans.
