I tried a couple (front-ends), and really liked one. It was very plain; black background, large text that scrolled from bottom to top. It killed, somehow, my machines ability to load Mame though. I had to use a new version of Mame in order to get games to play again.

I will have multiple emulators and systems on this. How I will go about making these as cohesive as possible is still up for debate.

Cool, which frontend u using? I am currently planning to build one of these, just gotta find a cab. on craigslist for either cheap or free.

Odd, I had typed a post, but it isn't there.

Anyhow, I'll post a screenshot what I am doing as far as launching the programs. No frontend, really. Just Rocketdock, made to look nice. The MAME background will be replaced, probably, with one of my own. Same basic color scheme though.

Ha, thanks.

I bought it new. Lifetime warranty that way. Works pretty well too. This thing is only 21.5" from end to end at its foundation. The whole cabinet is 21.5" inches wide too. I think the tank is only 3" longer.

I'm throwing Arcade Jukebox on there now. It won't have the best (somewhere south of mediocre) sound system, but why not. 20 GiB of music takes a little while to transfer, and probably another 15-20 later on tonight. My biggest portable drive is only 20 GiB.

It's already been three weeks since my initial post. Man, time flies. Well, now that 90% percent of the parts are in my possession, things should speed up a bit. We're trying to get this done before the garage becomes a freezer.
