So I'm thinking I need to replace my HAF with something more shiny and easier to use.
Took what I liked from the HAF and the 1200 and put them together and then put my own touch into it. Here's my sketchup: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Basically it'll be made out of two types of metal, diamond plated steel or aluminum for the outside (to make it look pretty) and then black anodized aluminum for the motherboard tray and such so that it isn't a pain in the ass to get standoffs and such in. To make it easier to use I'll be attempting to make it so that the case is the sata connectors and power connectors are integrated into it too. Basically all you'll have to do is just plug the power supply into the case, and then the sata connectors onto the motherboard, and viola it's all done. As for the motherboard power I have yet to figure that out. It'll have these (with out the UV reactive stuff) these for the 120mm fan grills on the front and then for the big fan grill I'll get one custom milled out of acrylic or aluminum (the chick design, but bigger) and then the top part that has a hole in it will be for radiator(s) to sit in. If I ever get the money for this I think it could turn out really good, just big... hopefully not to damn big like my ufo case did that's now being a coffee table.

If I ever get it going: here's the index to the whole thing so you don't need to fish around the thread looking for stuff.

looks like a HAF 932 made out of diamond plate that has a false floor and a really tiny io panel

It sort of is, I took what I liked from the Antec 1200 and the HAF 932 and put it into the case that I would like to build thus this spawned of 35 hours of work.

Looks pretty cool to me.
It sounds like it's going to be a heavy case, especially if you use steel along with the diamond plate. You should try to use aluminum in place of the steel if you can to take some of the weight off (assuming that the diamond plate is heavy, which I thought it was).

Ahh... don't you love taking the best of both worlds and amalgamating it into one custom build?
Your design looks solid, and I would wager that it could withstand a war-zone. ![]() ...might be a bit on the heavy side, but that porbably ain't an issue for you. mod on!

Haha, thanks Syr and Cat, the weight isn't really an issue with me... well it is, but I don't care about the weight
![]() I just noticed in the 3dmodle I don't have any exhaust fans.. all that hard work and I forgot the damn exhaust fans Oh well I guess I'll work on it some time this weekend and post up new pics with the rear exhaust fans.I'll start on this case as soon as I get money (I might go out on Tuesday and check the prices of the metal and such)

Looks sweet. Ever think of closing off the top and putting louvers spaced about 1 inch apart on the angled sides of the top. With the left louvers facing the front and the right side towards the back.

Alright, so I just fixed up the design, put in 3 more fan holes and 2 holes for the radiators barbs to go into:
