Default Dark Gates

So I got an old gateway case from work and decided to do some modding. I decided on a black and red theme with kind of a "dirty look." The dirty look only really came out well on one side panel but oh well.

Anyway, on to the pics:

Front panel

Sides

Chassis

Since my hole saw didn't want to work (I think it was because the metal was too flimsy) I ended up cutting the 120mm hole by had with my dremel. The case took a beating from the whole saw so I had to hammer out all of the bends with a rubber mallet (not shown in this pic). It came out pretty well though.

Side panel cut for window

Paint.. not so exciting. I wasn't going for perfect here. It's supposed to be a grimy kind of look.

Figured the black needed broken up. I found a stencil that came with a cd of a band I listen to.

Panels layed out. Everything but the side panel for the window is painted and cleared.

Chassis getting its final coats.

On to the final pics. I lost my camera sometime between finishing the paint and setting everything up so sorry for the cell phone pics

In it went my old P5N-E SLI with a Pentium 4 631 (already at 4.0 on air ), 4GB of G-Skill RAM, 8600gts, 10GB hdd for the OS (Arch) and an external 160GB for /home.

Masscool CPU cooler and Thermaltake Spirit II on the NB.

Lighting is one 18 led rod, one red led fan, two lazer leds (one in case, another in front panel which doesn't really show up in the pics)

Anyway, here's the pictures!

Right now its at my "work" desk which includes my router (old dell to left) and my web server (beige and blue case to right). As you can see I still have to paint the dvd drive bezel and the drive bay cover.

Front. I used a Lian-Li temp monitor to monitor intake and exhaust temps because I like to see the deltas

Up close. The cable management is a mess, largely because of the super long cables of my PSU.
