I forgot to mention, this is the hole I cut in the top of the case for the power cables of my outside fans to go back in:

Default Painting, Part III

So I didn't have a camera during most of this.... Oh damn I have to go recoat my window panel..... brb......K im back.

As I was saying, I didn't have a camera during most of my third painting job, but I do have a few pictures.

What I don't have pictures of:

-recoating the red plastic things for a few scratches
-recoating the handlebars for a few scratches also
-me painting the front panel because of some werid goober stuck in it that even goof off didn't get rid of. I think it was because the panel has a bunch of craters that the goobers stuck in.

Here is a picture where you can see the goobers (right under the 5th 5.25" bay), and the front panel painted:

I think it looks better anyway.

A major thing I did was touch up the cuts for my window. I'm not sure if the difference is appearant in these two pictures, but it is to me in person.

Before (messy):

After (cleaned up):

Now on to cleaning the window before I paint it:

This is after some Formula 409, a good hosing down outside, goof-off for the stubborn goobers, and some sanding with emery cloth to get it perfectly smooth in places.

Stupidly, I had the panel right-side up when I applied primer, and gravity caused massive drips:

The beauty of sandable primer:

Another coat of primer (flat on the ground this time):

Primer dried, and one coat of black:

The third coat is drying right now, I think I will do one more thin one, then wait 24 hours and do a final one.

More to come.

I recently received another shipment of parts:

Lian Li 1000RPM Red LED 120mm Fans (one had a broken LED so I had to return it for replacement):

My Koolance QDCs (just to see how they worked, I loved them, more are coming later)

Arctic MX-3 Thermal Compound (sorry about the flash again)

Primochill PC ICE with UV Red Dye Bomb

Another fan controller which I will end up returning, because it pulsed the electric current to the fan instead of changing the voltage, which caused my LEDs to flash:

After a trip to Home Depot, I returned with all the 8-32 screws I needed for my Radiator setup, and I used my bolt cutter to cut them to the exact right lengths:

Thats all for now, but I have a huge shipment coming in a few days. It includes everything else I need to finish this build!

Default Changing the NB Block

Here is a quick update of me changing the NB block on the Bloodrage from air to water. I'm also going to use this post to show you guys my current setup because I did it at my desk.

Here is the mobo, MX-3, waterblock, and my boxcutter which is so useful:

MISMATCHED DUAL SCREEN SETUP FTW

Here is my current PC, next to my terribly underused Xbox360.

The Xbox is hooked up to my Asus VK266H 26" screen through HDMI, and the sound is routed through my computer's "Line In" port, so the Xbox uses my computer's surround sound setup as well. I love my setup even though I never play 360 haha.

If anyone is interested, my old PC specs:

CM 690 Case with Side panel window
Asus m3a78 pro
AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition @ 2.5GHz
PCP&C 750W Quad RED Silencer PSU
2 x 2GB Corsair Dominator DDR2-1066
Sapphire HD4870 1GB
LG DVD +/- RW
250GB Seagate 7200RPM boot drive,
500GB Seagate 7200RPM storage drive
Some Rosewill Heatsink with blue LED fan that was on the Egg's shellshockers one time

--------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the motherboard with heatsink removed:

And with the NB cleaned:

New thermal paste applied, and Waterblock tightly screwed in:

Haha yea whatever works you know? Dual screens are awesome for me cuz it allows so much more to be done at a time.

Those fittings are Koolance's Quick Disconnects, they have heavy duty springs inside them, and require a bit of force to be pressed together, then you give them a quarter turn, and they lock into place. No way they coming apart. I love the design.

I haven't tried it yet, but supposedly you can disconnect them with water running though the system, and only 0.5mL will be freed.

Default System Assembly, Part I - THE CASE

The last phase of this project is under way. I built up my case as far as I can while still waiting for parts. All I have to do now is install everything.

Here is the skeleton:

Front Panel and Left side Cover:

I learned my lesson last time: don't leave the handlebars uncovered if moving the case around!!

So here are some paper towels covering the easily scratchable parts:

And the other side:

Attach the door, and it's ready for the delievery on wednesday, which is the pump I think. Other stuff and i7 should come on thursday.

So it looks like Newegg will be early on shipping again. You can always count on them for top notch service. My processor and pump will be coming tomorrow (wednesday), and I am not so sure about my water cooling things and fans from Performance-PCs, but they have surprised me in the past with fast shipping so my other things could quite possible all arrive tomorrow.

The window dried completely and it is perfect. I did a much better job this time than on my back side panel.
