take your time I wont see it until this evening (6 hours from now)
but I was thinking, if you can laser cut steel, instead of a template, you could cut the actual parts, couldnt you? like a O=O shape?

PolymorphiX_v2 - Day 09 - mobo plate & top stops
set up the press to drill out the mobo plate anchor after some convincing, and a ruined drill bit, this thing hung (slide mech is just temp on top of the rail edge to sim stops) tested down position, all ok didnt attach the channel underneath since I should be making the mobo plate in alu (doing all of this work to do it again )aligned for standoff drillouts (the black mobo pan is from Butcher's Hook, stolen temp for this project) drilling out the standoff holes set to tap tapped test fit flipped it and drilled out for the anchor (sorry BH, your sacrifice is appreciated) tests... decided to make the rail top stops. I was going to make a full bar that goes across between both rails, which would add fork stability, but I realized if I did that, I couldnt get the slide assem and the mobo plate all on there while the mobo plate was attached... so I opted for tab stops... you know, I turn my back for a second, and there she is, Poly, all snuggled up in the arms of Butcher's Hook! that slut! ![]() secured the tabs for braze-welds classic cattle contraptions (ccc)... braze-welded tested hang. you'll note, in these pics the ***** is all F'd up, I cant get slider behind the tabs with the mobo plate attached I can cut them down, or I can close it with a rail across, like originally intended, which would require m-plate off... havent decided, but here's the pics more tomr thanks for watching * This Worklog post was generated using WorklogCreator - Version: 1.0.1.6 * Free Download: http://www.mod2software.com/worklogc...logcreator.zip

What exactly is stopping the sliders to go in the rail, with the mobo tray attached?

![]() Nice work man, my only worry though is what if the top rod was to slip off the tabs when the tray is vertical, tray + mobo would go crashing down.
