Well, memory got here, motherboard didn't, so I decided that instead of waiting 2-3weeks for the AW8, I changed to the Abit NI8-SLI for $0 extra.

I'm kind of in limbo with the handles, I can't do a full knurling because the only place to grip it needs to be knurled also, and for anyone that does machining they know that once you take the knurling piece off the metal, its almost impossible to get back on that same path... Guess I'm just going to have to cut two more pieces up like that but with an extra 3/4" on each end to grip it. (Metal costs me money, blah! )

Okay, drilled and counter-sunk the top sheet of steel. I have everything measured out now so on monday I'll cut out the 120mm holes with the plasma cutter and mill in a nice hole with threading for the fill-port.

As per usual, pictures.



Don't fret, its going to be sanded to a mirror finish then clear-coated to avoid rust.



Thats the lovely fill-port I whipped up in 30-minutes sitting where it will be mounted. I can't find my damn tap & die kit so I can't put the threads on it until monday! (not that it will make a difference... )

I dont like the knurling, I think it looks cheap and out of place. I like the shiny grip much better.

This is what I plan on looking like after those peices are cut on monday. Then I'll sand and tap everything.

Didn't want to sand when I still had to do some milling, when I clamp it down it would ruin all the polishing.
