Default Project: Shawn's Never-Ending case mod *56K murderer*

Well, This case has gone through many paintjobs, Many dremel raid's, And Many, MANY Drill-Attacks.

Its almost done with its modding days, So I might as well have fun with it up until the end. Once the next Case Mod contest comes rollin' around, I'm going to buy a newer Full-tower Cheiftec server-case, Or a couple 3-4U Rackmount case to have my ways with. (Along with mounting Rack. )

Hopefully I can finish this up with this installment of moddings thus requring me to change the thread title.

This is what I started with.
(Not the full-case, But that was still when it was stock... )

To *ATTEMPTING* to do These...

This was the Mod of December...

...But what time is it now? Modding time, Again... My computer sure knows it...

So do my front panels...

Here's more.

Tonight I sanded down my case, and all my panels.

Here's the sides, NO, I'm not using that flame! Came out bad so I'm just painting over it.

The Plexi that's going in the window. That paper is a perfectly place paper that has the backwards inscription of the FULL speech from the brothers in BoonDock saints. Going to look wicked sweet once its on there, But I'm too lazy to start on it.

Dude, the sanding. You need to go to AT LEAST 600 grit, the right panel is looking really rough and those will definitely show through,no matter how much prime you use. Filler primer wont work either,it will show.

Aside from that :P I look forward to seeing this develop.

AHHA!

The priming went B-E-A-U-tifully! I barely even see a scratch! Only the Overclock.net flame is visible.

That full-panel was the second thing I did, And by the time I was on it, I was out of it from all the fumes from the spray-paint, And I realized that I essentially wasted 1/3 of a can of spray-paint trying to cover up a blue symbol that would be covered up by Black-Paint... LOL

Primed the rest of the case with all that I had left, and started the Black on the accessories that I had already primed the day before.

I'm going to wait until tommorow morning and I'll throw a light coat of black on everything, And put another one on when I get home from school with another can of Black, lol. (VERY big and paint consuming case? YES! )

Good part will come in a minute, I'm hosting them up right now and I'll edit them into here in a minute.

Okay, Now I'm taking the air-duct from the PowerEdge 2300, To use for the shroud on my radiator.

Coupled with a 170mm 350+'ish CFM fan = LOTS of airflow.

Pictures? Yes!

Held in place for drying.

PROFILE SHOT!

Thats how the air will move if all comes out properly.

Okay, After the contact cement is done drying I'm going to use some bondo and make it all aero-dynamic coming towards the base of the fan.

Going to be mounting with some Nuts & Bolts and have something like a cloth-like layer of material on the top of each side of the shroud to create a good seal around the radiator.
