Nice Job Dude.
I am thinking of doing something similar with my Dell 600m. I am wondering if someone can help me with my questions. On a lot of forums, people write that by using a thinner or a alcohol they are able to take color off from apple laptops. Will this help for Dell laptops.. My plan is to have a transparent body so that you can see thru to the interiors of the laptop................ Any thoughts??????????? |

Beautifull work ^_^ im quite impressed on how it came out. Thanks to you I was able to figure out how to do the same thing.... Although I got my 1100 from my GF when she got her desktop, The plastic on the right hinge was broken. I got that fixed up and now just a little sanding and no one will be able to tell once I start painting it. Im really quite impressed at how beautifull it turned out. I hope to do mine in about 5 weeks while juggeling school. Although for some strange reason the aluminum piece on the back cover of the laptop makes me upset. I dont like that its not all flat, I was wondering if you knew of any type of puddy or goop that I could put in it to make it all smooth. I have a few ideas but I would like to hear what you guys have to say. |

Any sort of putty would work, i work with wood for a living, and i'm pretty sure you can get putty that would join to the plastic aswell.
__________________That would all be down at your local hardware store, just take a look at them and see which ones sound about right. ie putty called - "plastic putty galoreioeo extreme" would obviously be the one your after. If there is no such thing as plastic putty and im talking out my @$$ then get wood putty, im sure it will work all the same.
