Now that you've seen how easy it is to disassemble a laptop, have you considered buying a cheap one on Ebay and using the screen to make a video projector? I plan on doing it this Summer and have heard the results are phenomenal. If you haven't seen this before, check it out. The quality on these are supposed to be insane.

For a think pad I think I would Diamondplate the outside. and stick with the flat black paint. Maybe I would paint the diamond plate and then sand the surface to get a nifty look. Anything is modable so go for it

i dunno about the diamond plate - it'd look pretty cool but add a whole load of weight to the laptop. I wanted to paint the lid red and sand it smooth.

I saw the mod spooky did with his laptop and was going through Formeds jeep case and his lady notebook..

You guys did such an awesome job. I had painted a few monitors and and cases but non came out that good.

I have an old laptop that Im gona repaint..and mod! You guys gave me great ideas! Keep up the great work!

Laptop modding\painting\overclocking is rare. Laptops can look really good if its done properly. Ive seen a couple and they look fantastic. Keep up the good work Formed!
