I started to pull the bottom off.

But realized it would be better if I pulled out the monitor first...

Separating the plates.

Top Plate off...

I separated the monitor from its shell.

I am getting more plastic off so I can remove the keyboard.

OH NOES!!!!
The Fedex guys is at the door!!!!!

Got the plate off and found IRAQ came home with me... Dirt everywere...

And all the parts laid out that I am going to paint...

Ok so I started with 220 Grit.

Wet Sanding at 400 Grit

I will be letting it dry for a little bit, then I will apply the Base Coat.

Base Coat!!

It went on pretty dark because of the Primer being a dark grey...

I have 9 coats to go!

2nd Coat!!!

Every coat after this will look about the same so I wont post them all

Coat 5... 3 to go...

That white looking stuff is light refecting off the edges

AAAANDDD Coat 8

That was the final coat in black...

Ok, as I promised, here are the vinyls that I made today.

VINYL One
With camera Flash...

With out camera flash

The overclock.net vinyl will be going on the top lid...
As well as the medium sized FoRmEd font and the 2 tribals...

Ok, I am going to start putting Painters tape around the circle thingy
LOOK DOWN THERE...

Ok this is Completly taped off and ready to recieve red Paint!

My camera must not like night pictures... looks grainy...

Well this is Coat one! I plan on 4 coats...

COAT 4 - I got a little excited SRY

AND THE TAPE REMOVED

ime for Clear Coat...

So here it is with:

No Clear Coat

Don't look much different, but that is because I like to put lite Coats...

Clear Coat ONE

Clear Coat TWO

Clear Coat 3

Here is Clear Coat 4

And here is all the parts that I will be sanding and painting
in the next couple days.

verything Cleaned, taped, and ready to be sanded!

Primer Coat 1

Primer Coat 3

I waited like 6 hrs and then applied the first Coat of Black...

Base Coat One

Base Coat One (2 in away)

Well I woke up last night and I wanted to mod or
paint or do something so last night, or rather this
morning at 4am I took some more pics for you guys.

If you look you will see there is alot of dust on them.
No biggy for me. I just take some alcohol to after every
coat, but I let it dry before doing so.

Here are the pics. Remember this is Base Coat One...

Base Coat 2

I just finished applying this coat and took some wet
pictures for you. In 2 hrs I will give it another coat.
I only plan on giving it 4 coats, then letting it dry
for 4 hours...

Then the glorious taping and vinyl applying will start...

Base Coat Four

I got that last coat on... Now I am going to wait for 3 or 4 hours
so it has a good chance to dry before I use tape on it...

Vinyl and Taping

That's right its time for the art!
The first is the mouse and I had a hard time thinking
of what to do with it... But here it is...

Then we have the Mouse Pad Area. It was fun trying to line up
the vinyl but I made it happen

And this is all of it together...

Detail Paint Coat 1

I plan on putting 3 coats of this stuff on.

3xtr3m3 I'm not using Mirage like Spooked. I am
using black and red... Thank you for that link!
I think that I am going to invest in a vinyl machine,
so all my future Mod's are covered...

Detail Paint Coat 2

I am doing these coats pretty fast!

Because it is going on to thick. One more coat and I am pulling
that tape off!

Vinyl Removal

Ok here it is... I had to get it off while the paint was
still wet. Then on top of that some of the adhesive from
the tape came off on the black paint... I was able to rub it
off with my fingers...

Here they are....
