Four 12V rails, 15A each, total max load on 12V rail is 50A. And MUCH cheaper than the Kilowatter... Also, I have heard it is pretty conservatively spec'd, but I'll do some more research on that

What about the issue of motherboard plugs? You'd have to splice like three on... sounds like a lot of wiring.

it's good enough for me...that would be cool--I wish I knew how to split out the 4 rails to 4 mobo headers--that would be cool. I think maybe a single Rail unit would be best. The latest THG on the 805 shows that OCed to 4 ghz it is pulling a mighty 200 watts to the CPU. Over 500 for a fully built up system with a 7800--however up to 3.2 ghz would not be too bad--about 150 watts to the CPU. Sonce each board would run a single drive and no Vcard I imagine 220 watts per rig for 805 mobos OCed to 3.2 ghz.

Any corrections would be appreciated. If I was not Ocing the 805s then 90 watts per CPU is spec. So maybe150 per rig at stock...

Yep---looks even better. I just need to get some money ahead now and keep Crunch rolling.

Some minor success networking Crunch--I can see the XP computers and acess files and all that but they still do not see the 98 machine...wierd--I configured my IXP frame rate for ethernet and nada...oh well i guess somethings are just too much for me to figure out.

Just a question, why are you using Windows 98 for a folding machine? I mean, that thing will crash after a week. Linux mabye?

Yeah 98 is a pain--but I had an unused copy sitting aorund--and I am more familiar with Windows--I have Mandrake 10.1--I was thinking of giving it a try--it is simply a matter of time constraints--it takes time to try this stuff out and get it wroking--I have very little time at the moment for learning how to Fold on linux--if you have some advice for me I am ready for it 'Dude
