Arrow Case Mod Competition Version 3.0

UPDATE: Case Mod Competition 3.0 Judging + Winners

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are happy to announce the 3rd Overclock.net/CaseMods.net case mod competition. This time, we will be giving away bigger prizes and providing winners with even more exposure!

Here is the rundown of the competition:

Objective
- Build the most eye-catching/inventive/innovative mod ever produced

Prizing
- $850 in cash prizes ($500, $250 & $100 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively)
- Top 3 mods will be featured in an Overclock.net ad within Maximum PC Magazine
- Top 3 winners will receive an Overclock.net / CaseMods.net trophy

Judging
- A group of judges will be hand picked to select the winners. Their votes will count for 1/2 of the score given to each modder. The other half of the score will be made up of member votes.

Timing
- Mods must be completed by March 8, 2007 (no more extensions)

Submission Process
- Your entry will be judged based on the accompanying worklog. Please create a thread here and document your build from start to finish in as much detail as you can. Make sure to take great pictures!

Eligibility
- This competition is open to all Overclock.net members.
- The case mod you create must be specifically created for this competition and appear exclusively on Overclock.net.
- The system must be in working order and contain relatively new components.

Fine Print
- Overclock.net reserves the right to modify any rules at any time.

Additional answers to questions that have been asked:
- The case mod is open to members irrespective to where you live
- Money will sent to the winner via PayPal
- A 939 mobo is fine
- The case mod you create for this competition must have been started no earlier than today to be eligible.
- A wooden case is completely acceptable. But remember what we are looking for "Build the most eye-catching/inventive/innovative mod ever produced"
- The submission link for your build log will be live within the next 24 hours.
- There is no entrance fee

Good luck to all of the modders!

What do you mean? What other guidelines would you like to see added? We are open to suggestions

Any restrictions on motherboard sizes, video card reqirements.

Just pretty much asking if we are allowed to use Micro*-ATX, mini- Itx. Onboard audio and video.

Last question is, do we have stick to a case, or can we look towards modding into other items? Ex: last year I modded my pc into a monitor.

No mobo restrictions. The system must be in working order and contain relatively new components.

This competition is only for case mods.

Sweet. I've been planning a mod for the last couple of weeks.

Any restrictions for international contestants (like, will you still cough up the moolah if I win)?
