Default Building a reservoir ?

I have some thick plexi glass left over from the side panel window. I need a reservoir and i want to make it myself. Since i want to place it inside the case i am worried about a leakage. What kind of glue should i use to stick pieces together. And should i also be worried about the pressure ? The dimensions are going to be 4"x2"x"4" (WxHxD)

And any suggestions about building are welcomed..

Thank you !

You're not exactly dealing with steam boiler pressure here, the caulk should be able do the job fine on it's own, as with any new water addition, do leak tests (a day +) to be certain.

Yeah, I doubt there is that much PSI in the system, however, you would want to attach the pieces together somehow before caulking as caulk is a sealant, not an adhesive.

You could make some nifty steel 90 degree brackets that held the sides together, or for a cleaner look try some strong adhesive that is waterproof.

No, probably not. Why use caulk that's for water sealing windows? At best, you'll have a leaking, ugly mess.

There are special acrylic glues. They will make invisible bonds that are as strong as the materials being glued...if used properly.

The Ambroid CO. makes a series of them:
http://www.ambroid.com/Ambroid.html

Their ProWeld works excellent on Styrene, Butyrate, ABS and Acrylics (Lexan or Plexiglass).

I've used it to make these.
