Default Penguin's problem

Ive had this problem for many years on my mothers computer and i finally connected the idea that my problem can be solved on a forum like this. Heres the problem

The green and black wire are the power-on wires. The power-on circuit inside never worked and i never wanted to bother with sending it to the manufactorer to get it fixed. Does anyone know how i could turn this into a normal button? Maybe a 5 1/2" bay button? I dont really want to start drilling holes.. but i will if i have to (lets keep that as a last resort please) and money wouldnt be a problem. Any suggestions?

You can get a simple toggle switch from a hardware store to get that to work. You would need to drill a small hole somewhere but its a minor project really. You could drill it right into one of the plastic panels that coverst the 5 1/4 bay.

Its basically the same thing. You can get it from a hardware store. All the push button does is close the circuit momentarily when you push it in so the mobo knows to power up. You can get a push button from hardware store to.

Well... Their is no switch that is specific for one thing really. I mean, the same switch they use on cases get used elsewhere also. It just that it was asthectically designed for the particular case. I havent seen any kind of mod for changing a power button but there may be some out there.

I saw one with a like... it was a button that was modeled after something that would be in a nuclear missile silo. YOu had to to flip a lil red switch up and press teh toggle switch to turn the computer on hehe.
