I had a friend come over and he brought a dremel tool saw thing.
Its not pretty but they fit now. ![]() Here you can see in the lower chamber the bracket that held the fan was removed as its easier on the cables with it out. ![]()

A hole here means you can pass the cable to the motherboard at the back and avoid having it hanging across the motherboard.

Get some edge molding for those sharp edges! Is the case structurally weaker with that huge gap missing?

Brilliant idea but I'd ask your mate to come back and smoothe off the cuttings with a file or something. It'll be a ball ache but simple to do and will make the job look tidy. Alternativley you could always use some industrial strength glue to secure some rubber padding round the rim.

Not a bad idea. However, get something to cover those edges (or at least deburr them). Otherwise, you'll reach in your case one day and die for lack of a tourniquet. Seriously, those are scary sharp edges.

We modified the side panel and built a window!
