Thumbs up My First Cyberdruid Pc Purchase!!!!!

I personally heed CD's words of wisdom as they spill forth from his fingertips...but when he said the Silenx fans were some of the best he ever used...well I was slightly skeptical. However 816+reps...I figured what the hey...its only money (as my wife stares menacingly at my growing stack of pc components and shrinking bank account), so I made my first CDPC purchase:

1. 120mm red led 72/14 (cfm/db)
1. 120mm blue led 72/14
1. 120 x 38mm 90/18

First let me say...everything in life should be as easy as dealing with CyberdruidPC. Within 20minutes of payment I recieved confirmation and word that my FANS would ship the following AM. Three days later (including a holiday mind you) fans at my doorstep. Carefully packed and all in order.

Upon opening the packages...I was a little concerned, they felt very light...almost too light. However I was pleased at the inclusion of silicon based silent fan mounts. I immediately decided to test the 72/14 against my scythe sflex 63/28.0. Now the scythe doesnt come close to 28.0 dba @ full voltage...I would care to venture it was much closer to 20ish... which is a bonus. The Silenx...is indeed whisper quiet...however I found it essential to use the silicone mounts to achieve the advertised dba...otherwise with normal screws you get a subtle hum which I assume is a result of the light frame resonating against the mounted surface. The airflow was slightly improved vs. the sflex and sound was equal...if not a little bit better. But the fact that it is an LED fan performing at these standards is a huge plus. Overall, a solid product which gets a thumbs up.

Now the 90/18...thats a whole different story! I will go on record as saying that it is simply the most impressive fan I have ever used. I decided to mount it too my TR 120 ultra. Fired up my build rig, and bam...at stock load, this beast dropped my temps a whopping 4*C vs. my Sflex. But what I really love is the fact that the increase in CFM, has allowed for a drop in my PWM temperature by 8*C. The increased airflow allows for that area of the mobo to recieve a steady flow where as before the sflex could only just barely drive air through the tightly packed fins of the ultra 120. But what seals the deal...is that in my opinion, this beast is actually as quiet as the 72/14. This gem of a fan not only gets my two thumbs up, but I am going to borrow 1 from wife and two from my daughter to give this product 5 (count em five...thats all your fingers and thumb on one hand) thumbs up

All I can say is that this will be the first of many purchases from CyberdruidPC.

Thanks CD...

you were right...

again!

Hey..I'm looking for a good 80mm fan. Does SilenX boast of low dba and high cfm in that section?

HEY CD!
You have any?

How do you think it would do on a TTBT?

I think it would be an excellent swap...quiet, efficient and pretty. But if you are looking for shear performance, I'd have to recommend the 120x38mm 90cfm flavor...especially on a blowdown cooler, it would actually take care of some other components on your board
