Exclamation Avoid this Rip Off Product: ClearNeon

I just bought a bunch of this stuff at $14.95 a can. It sucks. The colors are barely visible--and that's the good part!

This "paint" is designed for parties or stupid stuff like that where kids want to spray paint the walls and Mom wants to be able to wipe it off with some soap and water.

This "paint" smells like some kind of hideous air-freshner--actually it smells like some girl that didn't take a shower and thought Febreeze would hide the "funky butt" odor.

So if you want your thousand dollar rig to be pumping out eau de LotLizard this is an ideal perfume for you

I couldn't be less impressed with an overpriced product. On top of it all two of the spraycans depressurized during shipping--a $30 loss before I even opened the box

If you want some invisible UV effects I would look further as ClearNeon is junk.

I bought 4 matte and 2 gloss and the only one that has the least bit of glow is the matte red--which looks like flourescent orange. The blue looks like a very pale green, Purple is almost no glow at all--and not at all purple. The "invisible" finish claimed by the mfr leaves a foggy white residue that looks like the scudge left behind on clothing from stick deoderant.

I was literally gagging from the smell of this "perfumed" paint. I had to remove the components and clean them thoroughly...it's a royal PITA. In the process of trying to remove it from an acrylic sidepanel I had to use alcohol as soap and water would not get rid of the scudge. As you might know alcohol and plastic hate each other and now I need to remake the panel

I tried it on the clear acrylic to see if it would make any type of effect--although it did make something like a UV glow on clear acrylic--it also obscures the clarity both with and without the UV light--so it's a no go. Considering that this is listed by a few primo vendors I am a little confused...they must have never used the junk--I am emailing Hank Baron and others to alert them that this is garbage.

If anyone knows of some "real" invisible UV tint that has not got a perfumey odor or a nasty residue please PM me--as I am still searching for this type of product.

Get some Brasso brass cleaner, and buff out the fogginess from the alcohol. Brasso is great for acrylic. Works on CD's also.
