Default Cut or Paint first?

I have a case, waiting to be modded, and I have the paint. But my dremel is missing a screw mandrel, so I'm waiting for one to arrive. I'm bored, and was wondering: could I paint it before cutting the window? I'm getting some of the stuff to line windows and blowholes from Mnpctech, and I wonder what you thought?

You could paint it if you had enough paint without problems... or just tape off the area where you plan to have the window, because it'll look better.

Make sure you sandpaper the hole, and then put some U rubber over it to avoid sharp edges. Put some grease around the newly drilled hole, and then screw your computer, screw it hard. Maybe install some UV lights and turn em up to indicate that your computer is also excited.

I think it would be easier for you to cut the window first because then you wouldnt have to paint that extra part and then cut it out anyways.

Yeah wait until you cut everything you want. It will make the process a lot cleaner and less tedious.

Cut it first just in case the paint chips and you have to redo it again.

Cut first for sure. Any paint touch up work later on would just take more time and results maybe not as good.

Then you need to find another mod to past your time. Also if there are any parts that you want or could paint that are not going to be cut you could paint those. Plus painting doesn't take that long it's the drying that you have to wait on. So really you will end up bored after a short amount of painting anyway. I say, "never get the cart ahead of the horse, always winds up with a crash and burn." Good luck with finding something to pass your time.

I cut my case and didn't paint it until a month a few months later. Trust me just wait and you'll be satisfied with the results when your able to mod it.
