Well since I'm buying Shifty's BT, I'm gonna have to take out my whole motherboard, and my 7800GT is going on RMA, so that too. While I have the entire PC torn apart, I'm thinking of maybe doing a few cheap mods...
1) UV Spray Painting the entire interior of the case Blue (would this be too bright with my 2 UV CCFL's you think?) 2) Building a stand beneath my case that allows cool air into the underbelly of the case and putting 2-3 120mm or 80mm fans in there to add more fresh air 3) Possibly modding the top USB panel forward in the case and adding an 80mm blow hole. 4)Extreme cable management (try to run all the wires behind motherboard and such) Does anyone have any other cheap, cool ideas? I'm looking to stay <$20-$30 per mod since I don't have a ton of money to work with, but I want to do something that's worthwhile and attractive... Thanks for any input! ![]()

Fun!
1) It might be overwhelming, but that is subjective. 2) Great idea! A blowhole on the top would be a nice addition (passive would do, and it would cost nothing insofar as purchasing fans). 3) Nice. Could you swing a 120mm? 4) Go for it. The blowhole is a mod that really helps keeping the inside of the case cooler. Cable and wire sleeving? UV designs as opposed to a flat-field of colour? Please post before, during and after pics...please...? Good luck! ![]()

Some ideas
Replace the rubber feet with castors (Use washers so the metal dont bend) Once you have done that you could do mod number 2 on your list 4, do that, is your PSU modular?, if not. open the bugger up and remove wires you wont need Use a spare drive plate and make a "Super panel", with a bios reset switch, light switches and stuff ![]() Put a window on your PSU :P Use mirrors to try make so optical illusion that your case has nothing in it lol (High quailty printing? :P) More coming ![]()

My PSU is modular, however I use almost ever one of the connectors... I think I only left two cables out of the setup. My only issue with #2 is that the only material I am good with is wood (Dad is a carpenter of sorts), but I would much rather have like a Vapochill phase case to put underneath my case since it would look smoother and more finished. Though I could make a very nice wooden stand... With some mesh vents all around for induction.
And @ Syrillian, I'm nottttt really sure I could pull off a 120mm blow hole :-\ An 80 will actually be tough because I don't have much space between my PSU and optical drives. I could always move my 3 drives down and have the top space open for a fan, but it wouldn't have as much free air to pull out... Though that would save me the trouble of moving and remounting the USB panel. Geez I'm gonna need to practice a lot with a Dremel before I go for this! lol Does anyone know where I could pick up and empty 4" tall metal enclosure for under my case or something? Thanks all so far!
