I'm actually thinking about modding my Lian Li V1000 to improve airflow in a few weeks (eg, putting fan in roof and side panel). Could someone link me to a dremel that will do the job, and not die after 30 minutes of use. Preferably from a UK site (eg, ebay), as those available on US sites may not be available over here.

Whenever I have looked for dremels they have been expensive, although I haven't looked on eBay.
I have a really old Time case laying around that is crying to be modded.

yeah no problem, just have to be patient and use a file to get a nice finish, especially with a lian li.

Yeah. I'm not looking forward to opening the case to begin planning locations for cuts, due to dust. The filters stop the hair, but the tiny bits (dead skin cells I think) still get in.

Yes they can.
I found a Dremel at a PC components site a few days ago for £30 for a 2 speed one and I can't remember where ![]()

i think when cutting alloy it helps if you put tape over the area you want to cut... it supposedly stops scratches and such where you dont want them
i just heard this, never tried it... lol

i just cut my case with a dremel. the diamond coated cutter wheel does wonders on thin aluminum, but for something thicker, you might wanna try and use something along the lines of tungsten carbide bits or router bits with a router attatchment.
they also have a mini saw and a planer adapter for the dremel. this tool is teh winz.

any dremel itself should work though as far as the bit what I was using when porting out my aluminum intake was a carbide bit shaped like a can with little burs on it. though as far as cutting I donno. only thing with aluminum though is it is best to use some sort of lube as that stuff gunks up real easily inside your cutter.

the official Dremel brand is very nice, dont get a knock off. It'll work.
