If your cpu heatsink blows onto the motherboard, like the stock coolers, then I'd go with a duct. If it blows out the back then I'd do a fan.

I had an 80mm side duct in a case with a Thermaltake Blue Orb II as the cpu cooler, and the duct made a whining noise when it was mounted over the cooler. I still haven't decided if the whining was coming from the grid in the side panel or the duct itself, but mounting an 80mm fan where the duct was made the whining stop. I know not all ducts will behave the same way, but it's something to keep in mind. This was in a Rosewill case (no idea who the actual manufacturer was) and an 80mm adjustable height solid duct.

You might want to check your fan placement. Those fans in the PCI slots are depriving your CPU fan of air.

You'd probably get better temps if you moved them lower, or something. Or just took them out.

I know that's not what this thread is about, but that's something you should know.

Are you talking about the 2 fans above the video card? hehe...its not actually in a PCI slot but i taped it on there. Yea, strange, but it keeps my 7900GT always around 40 degree celsius at ide(it used to be 50 without it), and my cpu is @ 30C(and overclocked) with that.

I currently have a side air duct, but it doesnt make any whine noise.

Heh. Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess...I tried a similar thing and all of my temps shot up about 10C.
