Overclocker in Training

I am building a new case and realized at the last minute that my exhaust fan is slightly bigger than my intake fan. My case is very limited on space due to size so I am only able to use 2 fans. the intake fane is 3 inches (80mm ?) and the other is 3 1/2 inches (90 mm ?). Will the difference in sizes hurt me or will it be okay?

Nope, won't make one bit of difference, there really isn't much difference when you put it in perspective... a 10mm difference won't make much difference in a huge case, so you're fine...if you're concerned though, remove 1 pci slot bracket that keeps it closed up, it will open up some space for the negatively pressured air to equalize... But seriously, it doesn't make one helluva big difference.

CFM is all that matters, if they both have the same then you'll be fine.

In past threads the consensus is that if anything it is better to have a pressure increase in the case rather than decrease. Since the same concepts apply to air as water, you will have better turbulance and flow if more comes in than goes out, plus cases aren't sealed so the extra will get out one way or another. If nothing else, it will escape through the clearance between the intake fan blades and the shroud.

the only diff will be that if 80mm fan will be alittle bit louder than 90mm
but there wont be any huge diff in performance

huh? nevermind, i've been involved in most of those threads and there was no conclusion reached, and i have found that most who say that +pressure is better normaly run their comp. with out the case doors on.
92mm 80mm
