Turing Test is Overrated

HomeDepot or Lowe's sells aluminum sheets, right? Need a 12x12" sheet that is 3/32" to 1/8" thick. What are the chances of that?
Need to make a custom PSU mounting adapter.

The Home Depot near my house has a small rack in the lumber department with 12 x 24 aluminum sheets and other assorted metal sheets, so yeah.

I can get it for $8 online... however, I need it this weekend. I will be at my parent's house so I can work on some case modding. Dremeling is too loud in my apartment.

Police: Mam, is he modding a computer case? Neighbor: I don't know! Police: What are you complaining about, would you rather have a quiet drug dealer instead? ![]() Anyway, check the yellow pages, I have a shop only a mile away I buy from. Call in the order and pick it up custom cut to size materials either later that day or the next ![]()

Ace hardware has a lot of small pieces of metal for projects. They range from 12" x 32" to 48" x 48". That should plenty enough and they are pretty cheap too.

If you're looking for such a small sized sheet of aluminum, try calling your local machine shops. They might have scrap sheets lying around for you to take. I've done this before and I've gotten some good stuff. Plus, it's good to befriend guys at the machine shop. You never know when that comes in handy!

*grumble*
I went to five hardware stores (Lowes, HomeDepot, Ace, TrueValue, Ace) on Saturday and none of them stocked much aluminum. HomeDepot had a total of three pieces of sheet metal and they were all steel. Anyone have 9x7.5"x.08" sheet of aluminum? Ruined my weekend plans for case modding.
