Unhappy How!

I have a pretty much basic case, and i want to "fix-it" up a litle bit. Planning on cutting out a symbol on the side of the case, the only thing is that I have never done this and dont wasnt to mess it all up. Plus I have no idea how to do this.

Any help or advice would be fantasic

thanks

well first step would be to figure out what you wanna cut into it XD

i like using a Dremel to cut out designs into case paneling, but depending on the size a power jigsaw would be better.

Nice a have a jigsaw. I wanna put a exhaust fan on the top of my case. Gets so hot. And maybe some nice holes for some 40mm fans

40mm fans are not going to provide enough cooling, why not use a 120mm?

Dremels are the answer to everything!

Honestly get a decent Dremel Pro and the possibilities for modding the case are endless.

first off you want to design the feature. then use a dremel (or jig saw as suggested) to cut it out. Then use the buffer piece on the dremel to smooth it up :P

Done

Obviously not that simple, but that is the basic idea.

always use atleast 120mm.

Make sure you get the heavy cut off blades.

Keep dremel RPM's to max.

Measure twice cut once.

Remove all components if you are going to cut the case, metal shavings go every where.

Stay safe and take your time, wear safety goggles, or if you are like me and 99% of this site, you already have glasses so you are all set.
