Default Is 4 /12" hole saw standard for 120mm fam

Im modding my case again, and need a little help. I have only a 3/8" drill and no rotary tool. If I had a drummel I could make my initial cut the use a jigsaw to finish. However the last 92mm hole took a 3 1/2" hole saw. The match was perfect. I hear it takes a 4 1/2" hole saw to work for a 120mm fan. Here is the real problem. I only have a 3/8" drill, but everywhere I try to rent the 4 1/2" hole saw, the only cuck these places have are in 1/2 not 3/8. Being on the broke side of things right now is there a way to get this 4 /12" hole made. Ohh yeah Im putting it in the top if my case.

Are you talking about the arbor? I just bought a new holesaw today and a separate 1/2 inch arbor. I am a little confused about what you mean by a 2/8 inch drill... do you mean drill bit? If so Why not try finding a holesaw with the arbor built into it? They have some around.

harbor freight has a cheap 1/2" chuck for drills, to replace your 3/8" chuck. Quickest cheapest solution, if you have a harbor freight near you. No sense spending loads of money for one or two holes.

If you have an Ace Hardware near you they would surely have the adapter in stock.

or you could get a little better hole saw with an interchangeable arbor/bit and get the 3/8's shaft...

you should be able to get just the hole saw and the arbor separate...

even large hole saws will have the same hole for the arbor...
