Ok, I have a smilodon case and it came with a blue LED fan, right? Well I'm looking for purple or pink case fans and I only seem to find ones that are closer to the color blue. What is the deal with all the %^!$ blue? Does anyone know a place to find pink or purple? I don't want to have to mod the fans myself...

I have never seen pink case fans, red maybe but not pink. There are also white leds available.

I guess they dont sell pink since 99.9% of modders are male.

I have a purple fan from CoolerMaster so I know they make them. I use purple b/c it was close enough to UV.

OK, to answer your question: Yes, a lot of purple fans look too close to blue. My only suggestion I can think of would be to do it yourself (which you already said you don't want to) or to get a fan with both red and blue LEDs, and hope it turns purple in the middle: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...roducts_id=159

I know, I know, I know...most of the modders are male but I've found pink LEDs all over the place but none in fans. I've purchased "purple" LED fans but they all look blue so I returned them... If I get the LEDs seperate and put them into the fan what kind of tools would I need?

However, solding just LEDs is hard since they are so small. Also, how the LEDs are mounted in fan can make it even harder.

If you click on there fans and scroll thru the pages there are several purple fans and some red that look more pink then anything.
