Default TT Armor Mod Idea

I've seen and heard people doing some things with the TT Armor, and I wanted to try. Just running it by to see if it is a good idea.

2) http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/2635/pic9tn3.jpg

For the first one, just taking off the plastic, so the exhaust fan underneath it has more room to let out the air. And the second one, cutting the honeycomb out and putting in a large exhaust fan to push more hot air out of the comp, while i have the push/pull fans on my heatsink, pushing the heated air towards that exhaust fan.

anymore ideas, please give em to me.

thanks alot for the input!

I've actually been meaning to get rid of that top plastic part on my TT. But as far as the rear goes, i dont think cutting that out would make that much difference....unless you mount a Delta fan on there and need the room to mount it. Otherwise the stock fan does a decent job, or even a Silverstone.

yeah i have 2 silverstones that are on the heatsink, plan to get something really beefy to push all the air out, probably a delta, but ill look into the best exhaust fan. what else have you done to your TT armor?

I reversed the door fan like so:

Did this because I've got an 80mm fan mounted vertically on my video cards' heat sinks and I couldnt close the case unless I did this. I also replaced the fan in the front with a Silverstone to keep the raptors nice and cool.

And yes I've got about the worst wire management going on ever. lol

I cut out all the grills for my fans and actually noticed more airflow than before. I would have removed that plastic thing too but I cut a square in the top for the 90mm blowhole.

In short, good idea to cut those out.

On my Kandalf Tower (The brother of the Armor) I took the top doohicky off. It greatly increases the top exhaust 92mm fan flow...but also makes your computer more prone to getting dusty. I'd recommend maybe putting a (black painted) mesh wire filter up there if you want to keep the dust out a bit more.

Also, I took the stupid front panel door thing off my kandalf, so now it is pretty much an Armor with a circle hole where that mirror was....
