Default wanted to post pics of custom built case

http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...0/ppuser/16819

hope that link works, first time for putting pics on
I built this case for my brothers 16th b-day he is rough on cases as he takes his pc to his friends alot to play games.
I started with warped frame from his last case spent hour or so trying to square it up and straighten it. Then reinforced edges of frame and built lid for frame from 1/8x1/2 mild steel plate, next framed side cover from same material. Used 2 sizes of expanded steel and 1/8 aluminum diamond plate to build the case sides with, welded the steel to top of case for strenght due to handle for transport, and welded steel to previously built frame to create removable side, used rivets on other side and front. Painted case frame in gloss black, expanded steel with a chrome paint and coated entire piece in several layers of a clear metallic. 120mm fan in side is aluminum housing fan available widely online front fan is standart 80mm with chrome paint
The entire project took just over a day and a half, the painting didnt take very long as the last week or so has been over 100degrees here so it dries very quickly

That looks like a dust magnet. Nicely built case though.

P.s.: Is this the brando from our halo clan...like 2 years ago?

suprisingly its actually lighter than my personal system, weight was a consideration considering transport to and from his friends house that was the reason for aluminum rather that steel diamond plating and for the expanded steel it is rigid strong covers large area but has less material than a solid piece of thinner gauge metal, it had to be transportable, he has even been known to haul his computer on the front of his bike before lol
