Default Needing larger than I can find..

Hi all,

I seem to be having an issue with finding a large enough sheet of Window material for my full tower.
I am looking for a mimimum size of 22" by 20". The largest I can find is 18x18. Then again, I probably don't know all the places to look either

Also, I can find plexi-glass this size but I don't know if that's appropriate for a pc?
Is it clear, strong, and scratch resistant enough for a pc application?
I plan on building a complete door panel to replace one full side of a case. I know (think) Acrylic is the best to this sort of application, but is there anything else that may be a better material for the job?

Thanks for the help!

Check with any local window and glass companies ...

I have a friend who runs a glass/window shop and he can get any of that ... plexi, acrylic ... etc.

Good luck

Thanks. I'll have to give some of the other shops I don't know around here a shot. Most won't bother with "such a small order". I only need roughly a 24x48 sheet. I would prefer UV reactive if I can manage, and some places don't deal with that stuff.

What thickness is suggested for side panels? The largest piece will be some under 20x22 inches, and I will have a piece that will connect on top of that for some large fans I have on my stock panel.

Long term, I am going to be Liquid Cooling so I can add the rest of my SLI components, Video card, PSU, more memory, and possibly upgrade or at least deffinately overclock the CPU a bit. I will be overclocking the entire system, hence the goal of a full LC system. I can't manage to obtain all those parts right now, but I can build a clear access panel so I can gaze upon it in all it's glory once I'm done and able to share

Edit: Btw, S1rrah.. If you know of any places in the Houston area, I travel there all the time. Just PM me the name of the place, I can find it

Check www.mcmaster.com or www.usplastic.com

Lexan or polycarbonate is stronger, more scratch resistant, and easier to cut. 1/8" is more than thick enough.
