Default Which Antec 900 Mods To Do

I am going to be cutting holes in the case for cable management. I am also thinking about painting the inside black w/ a UV Red over it. I was thinking of getting sound dampening padding also to make my computer as quiet as possible. Any other good mods that are easy? Also any advice on these would be greatly appreciated.

Id start out by cutting out the rear fan guard , it blocks quite a lot of airflow.
Someone on here has a scientific demonstration of the improvement.

I slightly modded the cover of my 900, removed the plastic fan bracket and hot glued the grill to the cover, plan on putting a 120mm on it, just couldn't use the stock bracket due to Tuniq Tower being too big, but no biggie. I really need to do a cable management project though, so I can mount the grill fan on the inside. Would only be able to mount it on the outside due to all the cables. LOL I'm also thinking of mounting 2x 120mm Fans on the window, maybe drill a couple cool designs in it to bring air in.

the one at the back that protects your keyboard, mouse, speaker wires from getting into the back 120mm fan. so basically, its the guard protecting the fan on the back of the antec 900

It is made of steel, don't I have to cut it? Wouldn't I want that guard there?

well... if you know that you wont get any wires or cables into the fan, than cut it off. IMO, i wouldn't.

Cut it off, and replace it with mesh or a filter...look at HEXX mesh, as that has 80% airflow

For cable management, CD has a nice universal cable management kit for the holes

i dont like using mesh because im a lazy guy. i hate cleaning the dusts on them... and they collect dust fast...

however, if you dont mind cleaning the mesh often, i will do what prosser13 recommended.
